Valentine’s Day is not for everyone: whether it’s because the commercial pressure is too much or because you’re single and don’t want to be reminded. At Local Surf Maroc, we’ve come up with a women’s only activity week in Morocco for you and your gal pals. It doesn’t matter if your relationship status is “married”, “single”, or “it’s complicated”, this is a chance to celebrate your female friendships.
Join the week on your own or travel with your closest gal pal: there’s a place for everyone. No surf or skate experience is necessary for this week. The only requirement is an open mind for new experiences.
The week includes 5 surf lessons, 4 yoga classes, 2 surf skate lessons, 1 sandboarding experience, a beach BBQ, an afternoon for a hammam, and endless sunshine. All meals are authentically Moroccan and healthy, with produce sourced locally.
If you haven’t developed a crush for our coastal adventure, by the end of Local Surf Maroc’s Moroccan GALentine’s Retreat there’s a good chance you’ll have fallen head over heels.

To reserve your spot on this unique retreat, we ask for a 20% non-refundable deposit. We ask that the remaining balance be paid in full on arrival. Local Surf Maroc’s T&C’s apply to this Retreat, as with our other Surf Experiences.

Is This Retreat For Me?
This retreat is open to all women over the age of 18.
Top fitness level and skill not required! Though a basic level of fitness and activity is advantageous. While we all have our niggles here and there, being inury free will allow you to get the most out of our Moroccan GALentine’s Activity Retreat.
SURFING
Local Surf Maroc’s GALentine’s Retreat is open to all levels of surfers. Beginners are welcome and will get to learn the basics, very similar to our Surf Coaching Experience.
Intermediate surfers won’t have to get bunched with beginners and will have the opportunity to have surf coaching tailored to their surf level, much like our Surf Mentoring Experience.
Experienced surfers won’t get lost in the shuffle either: a surf guide will be available to so surfers won’t miss out on the best surfing Morocco has to offer as we would ensure with our Surf Guiding Experiences.
YOGA
While some knowledge and understanding of yoga is beneficial, it is also not required. Like Local Surf Maroc’s regular Yoga & Surf Experience, the yoga classes for the GALentine’s Retreat in Morocco is broad and suitable for everyone, with our yoga teachers able to adapt to varying abilities.
SURF SKATE
No previous skateboarding or surf skate experience necessary! If you’ve skated before and feel confident to go it alone, we’d love to see it. Unsure or never skated before? We have instructors to teach the basics and help build your confidence.
This activity retreat in Taghazout Bay, Morocco is great whether you’re travelling solo or with a friend: we all start out as strangers anyway, and you’ll be sure to leave with new found friends and shared experiences. Local Surf Maroc is here to make sure you’re leaving Morocco with the best memories on our Women Only GALentine’s Retreat by blending the right amount of activities with a holiday beach vibe.

What about the Food?
As part of your retreat you’ll be offered three, delicious and healthy Moroccan meals a day, with all ingredients sourced fresh and locally. The meals are prepared from scratch in the kitchen, with the smells of cooking from the kitchen wafting into your room to inspire your taste buds.
Moroccan food varies from region to region, with each one having its own speciality or twists on the same dish. In general Moroccan cuisine is largely meat based, however, these same spice infused dishes are easily adapted to Pescatarian and Vegetarian cuisine.
If you have any food allergies, most can be accommodated for. Please inform us at time of booking.
