The Tamraght Surf Riad
The Surf Riad is a purpose built Moroccan Riad for hosting guests in Tamraght, Taghazout Bay, Moroco. The Surf Riad embodies the essence of Moroccan charm and hospitality, with comfortable beds and delicioius homemade food. With its location further up the hill, what it lacks in proximity to amenities it makes up for in a calm, quiet atmosphere and breathtaking view of Taghazout Bay.
The main road of Tamraght and all its amenities are within a 15-20 minute walk from the Riad. There you will find shops, cafes, restaurants, pharmacies, and a currency exchange. A few minutes further from the main streets of Tamraght you can find yourself at Crocros and Devil’s rock surf spots.
Tamraght itself is on the main road between Agadir and Essaouira, allowing for easy travel and accessibility regardless which airport you fly into. Tamraght is an old Amazigh (Berber) fishing village in Taghazout Bay which is still houses local fisherman today. Over the last few decades the blend of Moroccan and Amazigh culture, fishing industry, and surfing has created a unique vibe in Tamraght and in the other villages in and around Taghazout Bay.
The Surf Riad’s architechture is in the traditional style of a Riad, with an open roof to let the daylight in and cozy corners to relax. The terrace is the Surf Riad’s key feature with a stunning view of Taghazout Bay. With a traditional Amazigh sitting area to enjoy an aromatic mint tea and tables with coverings to enjoy meals, you’ll find it hard to take your eyes off the view.
The Riad, intended for our guests who have booked our Surf Retreats, and consists of 13 rooms which can accommodate up to 26 guests.
